Manipulative and calculating, Finley is approachable, charismatic, intelligent, and polite. She is flexible, socially, able to conform to whatever she needs to be to get exactly the type of relationship she wants--whether she wants an ally, a lover, an enemy, or a peon. Rarely is she ever out of control. She lacks a strong sense of right and wrong, doing things that tickle her fancy, good or evil. And, because she's primarily motivated to satiate her curiosity, most dogs would find her actions "evil". She only measures a dog's worth to her by their usefulness and ability to pique her interest.
Friends
Finley believes herself to make friends. Dogs regard themselves as friends to her. However, she lacks the true connection that most dogs have. She lacks the ability to regard dogs as anything more than playthings and pawns. She understands loyalty but doesn't truly exhibit it. Her actions are largely logical, looking in the long-term so that she doesn't damage a useful relationship prematurely or create a formidable enemy that would become an obstacle for her to satiate her curiosity. A lot of her ruthlessness is due to the long term use of her perception bending abilities, so not needing to use her powers constantly does coax a more tender side from her.
Enemies
Most of Finley's enemies are dogs who she tossed aside once she was bored with them. Or, she calculatingly created them to be her enemy in order to see what would happen and to have fun playing with them in psychological experiments on the effects of hatred on a dog's motivation. She also makes enemies with canines who realize who she truly is and are disgusted by her lack of empathy, remorse, and general regard for her fellow canine. She is a formidable enemy, as not much fazes her and she keeps a cool head, always calculating her next move.
Lovers
Finley can play the part of a lover to many dogs, but doesn't really love them as other dogs would feel love. And, with dogs who truly want to give their heart to her, they'd either be blinded by their love for her to notice that she doesn't feel the same or they'll strongly feel her lack of warmth and honesty in the relationship. As such, romance is of great interest to Finley, who will see her mate as a little experiment, observing keenly everything he does. As long as he stays interesting, she'll stay with him. She does understand that it is here where her ruthless nature is most likely to be revealed. Just like with friendships, not needing to use her perception bending abilities for a long time may evoke a softer, genuinely kinder side of her.
Pack Members
Finley is the new Alpha, but her rise to power had been in the works for a long time ever since Carver's rule started to become unpopular due to his viciousness. She is a huge contrast. Friendly, open, curious. And there are some pack members who miss the vicious edge that Carver gave them and doubt this sweet female. Others have been in the know or have helped her usurp the former Alpha. Feel free to come up with plots if you created a pack member of Ash River who was there since Carver's rule. For new dogs, she will seem like a kind and charming Alpha.
