[attr="class","guidebooktitle"]Pack Leader Auditions
[attr="class","guidebookbody"]There are three well-established packs on In-Drift. Some of the names have changed over the years, but the packs themselves have remained. Though, currently, these packs have dwindled in size due to each of the current leaders having lost the direction of the pack and causing the members to leave.

[attr="class","guidebooksubtitle"]Summary of the Packs
[attr="class","guidebookbody"]Below is background information for the packs. Use these as prompts for your claim post![break][break]
• The Winterwood Pack - Their laws are the natural laws and they seek to be as normal as possible. Powers are used only when necessary. Watchdogs and Mutants are met with disdain. Due to the fact that they do not rely on their abilities, this pack often creates resourceful dogs with a great ability to use their natural canine skills. They are based in the Northlands.
[break][break]
The current leader, Nicolas, was an Esper who led the pack well. Despite his horns, he hardly touched his psychic powers--at least in public. It turned out he was leading the Winterwood Pack and forcing them against using their powers with an iron rule. Those that found out, he destroyed with the very powers he had banned. As his pack rises up against him, more and more, he's finding himself growing weaker and weaker due to how much he has to use his psychic abilities. There's no telling what will kill him first: The symptoms of overusing his powers or the pack itself.

• The Flaxrown Kingdom - Idealists, the freedom of individuals is their strongest value. They seek to be a place of security for the weak and try to change the land for the better. Their laws are few, but essential. Their strength lies in their emotional resilience and support for one another. The Flaxrown dogs form strong bonds of friendship. They are based in the Heartland.

The current leader, Wren, had gone crazy in grief after her son--the heir--had died from a freak accident. The Augment formed a treaty with Ash River for their knowledge, hoping to find a way to reanimate his corpse because her healing nanobots could not repair him. This was fine until she started giving Flaxrown's sick and weak to Ash River as experimental subjects. She only wanted to see her son's smile one more time.

• The Ash River Project - A pack that enjoys experimenting. Dogs are sent on missions to test the limits of their bodies, understand their abilities, and to gather resources for the pack's quest for knowledge. Because ethics and morals do not constrain their experiments and research in anatomy and genetics, the Ash River dogs often have the most advanced healers and understanding of the world they live in. They are not above cheating and killing to get their knowledge either. They are based in the Southland.

The current leader, Carver, was a Basal Mutant who built a fearsome and bloodied name. Ash River was simply a pack who lacked the morals to care much about killing, but killing had never been their goal--it was simply a means to an end. Historically, the Ash River dogs attempted to keep their subjects alive for as long as possible. However, Carver was a psychopath who found more fun in ending lives than in advancing his knowledge. He's recently disappeared.

[attr="class","guidebookbody"]As long as the entry is quality and the character seems to match perfectly, these will be first-come, first-serve. Remember that, even if you don't become an Alpha of one of the existing packs, you can plot out the creation of a new pack. You may even use not become leader of this pack for character development. Be creative!
