King & Queen - The leader of the pack and his or her mate. They inherit the position by their bloodline. Sometimes, a new dynasty begins in which the King or Queen has no blood relation to the one who was before them. Other times, if the King has no puppies, they will find a distant relative.

Princes & Princesses - These are the puppies of the King and Queen and are the most likely to be next in line of the throne. They are taken care of by the Royal Servants and groomed from a young age to take the throne.

Dukes & Duchesses - These dogs are the siblings or close relatives of the King and Queen. They are considered Royal Blood. If the King or Queen die, they can inherit the throne.

Captains & Captainesses - These dogs were carefully selected by the Royal Court from the merits of their strength. It's an honor to be considered for Captain. There is: Captain of the Hunt, Captainess of Scrutiny, etc. Basically, a Captain rank can be created for any exceptional dog and is named for their skill in a fitting title. Captains are often called upon for advice in different matters.

Knights - The dogs tasked with taking care of the pack's defense. Knights can also function as hunters or scouts depending on what the Kingdom needs. Knights are trained from the most promising of the Gentry.

Clerics - These are the dogs who have shown tremendous ability for healing. While Flaxrown's healers are quite skilled, it is their skill in healing emotional or mental maladies which no other pack can rival. Truly the Clerics of Flaxrown are one of a kind. Clerics work hard to get Vassals to be Gentries. Thos

Royal Servants - Dogs who are Royal Servants are considered honorable. They help take care of the Royalty and are usually privy to the gossip of the Court. Royal Servants make life as a King, Queen, or any one of the Nobility very comfortable.

Gentry - These are the dogs who are the normal citizens of Flaxrown who haven't found their path yet or who do not want the added responsibility of being a Knight or a Cleric. Gentries can Apprentice under a Cleric or become a Knight's Squire.

Vassal - These are the dogs who aren't quite well enough to work and help the pack. They are the ones who the Clerics work on to create Gentries out of them. These are the ones sick in body or mind or soul. Some dogs come to the pack to be a Vassal and hopefully find their way. Others fall from grace. No dog is born a Vassal.
