The crisp, energetic air of spring growth and birth was evident in the smell and feeling, but the land remained as cold as early winter in the Heartlands. It was a reminder that Kairos was a ways out of his usual land, but it was a trip that was more than welcomed by Kairos. He was excited to be meeting the new Alpha of Winterwood.
HERD organization divisions mostly functioned independently, but machines manufactured by the corporation have a public pool of information in a way similar to a newsfeed. Earlier that morning, he had been informed by Φsiqe in a rather quick and nonchalant blurb that Winterwood Pack is under new management. Kairos vividly recalled the parting message of the Alpha of Ash River just that winter ago. It really would be the start of a new era for all of Canaria. He was getting giddy just thinking about it-without realizing, his pace quickened. Then it became a gallop until finally a surge rippled through his muscular body and he bolted off into the distance. While he wasn't race-horse fast like the more well known speed dogs, the pure power with each lunge forward and the conditioning of his body was enough to leave river a glittering string behind him within seconds. The lake and cliffs went by Kairos in a blurr, though it would be more accurate to say he was like a pale whirlwind tearing through them.
Finally Kairos came do a dead brake in front of a the Timberlands, a bit of flurry was displaced in the jolt. He panted, deep and slow, inhaling the scent of the pack dogs to confirm that yes, he did have the right place. Finally, he released a deep and soulful howl into the thick woods, ready to take the first step in part two of pack introductions.
