Description:

Iris is a copper-colored terrier mix. She has dark eyes and a black nose. Her legs are long and her paws, dainty. Her hair is short and dense, unlike Aoife's tousled looking coat. She stands a little taller, taking her height from the larger dogs in her breed mix. She is about 23 inches to the shoulder. She has a scar across her chest.

Iris is serious, always considering herself the responsible one. She nearly raised Aoife all on her own.  She has a maternal streak in her. She encourages her sister to work hard, but is not very forgiving about her own father--who abandoned his family when she was two years old, leaving her to take care of two puppies. One of which died. Though she blames Griff for Hamish's death, she also blames herself.

Background:

When Tarin died, Iris took care of the puppies to the best of her ability. But she was a young thing, only two at the time. All she knew was her father coming into and out of her life, barely helping her and telling her how much he couldn't stay because Aoife looked too much like Tarin. While Aoife was at the Winter Survival Test, Griff returned, begging his eldest daughter to help him. He had been exposed to mutagens and was in the process of mutating. She turned him away.
