Description:
This Esper is a strangely tall, lanky thing with ears that seem to either disappear into neck fluff or stand up straight like huge bat ears. With a thin, tapering muzzle and legs that can stretch to be nearly the length of his entire body, his breed has been affectionately referred to as "strange ghost horsedogs" for a reason.
Luckily for him, his brindle pattern of rich browns to deep blacks and even flashes of copper make him look more like a proper dog. He has a flash of white on his chest that snakes down his underbelly, as well as white toes to match. His tail is a thin whip with exceedingly long fur.
He sports anywhere from bland, boring brown to vibrant golden eyes that seem to flash with color and glow quite frequently, with transparent, almost invisible horns tucked away against his skull.

Description:
Kovex is a reluctant creature, slow to warm up to just about anyone. Manipulative at his core do to his paranoid and defensive, anxious core. Something of a lone wolf just due to his own hang ups, he has a hard time letting anyone get close or stick around; and with those long legs, fleeing is often what he does if he can't make some dog bored of him. He is absolutely unapologetic about using his abilities on strangers, but despite his almost aggressive stance on keeping others at tail's length he really doesn't want to hurt anyone.
He's a deathly shy pooch who's a bit afraid of any and everything. Despite being a rather good judge of character, his constant sense of self-doubt keeps him from trusting his gut instinct. Instead, he relies mostly on flight or fight responses a lot of the time.
History

Background:
Dry and Alassi came together like lightning-- both borzois, they found that they were seemingly the perfect match. When they had their first litter, however, the mutations they both carried caused some unfortunate side-effects. Alassi didn't survive the birth, and Kovex was the only one to come out even breathing.
Dry was forced to find a foster mother for the baby and put at the mercy of a local pack. The Ash River Project kept Kovex alive, but at a cost to Dry and his son. Dry allowed himself to become a subject in the pack, to keep his son as a citizen until he was old enough for his own rank. The pack always felt uncomfortable to young Kovex, but Dry found himself becoming enraptured in the culture, and before long he started to force his son into training.
When Kovex turned a year old, his father lashed out with violence, and the young dog attempted his powers against his own father. It escalated into a fight, and Kovex fled in the end, too terrified to face the pack or his father's wrath ever again. He has no idea what happened to Dry, but some things are better not to know in the end.
It's been a year since Kovex fled the pack. His paranoia was manageable at first, but after months of encountering dogs that he's convinced are from Ash River and attempting to take him in or kill him, he's hit full panic mode. Every day is a struggle to even keep calm, even when he's miles out from any other dog.
