January-April 309
Finley is assigned by Carver to collect Subjects and other dogs to feed his bloodthirst. At first it was lone groups and naive dogs, but soon, Finley set her eyes on a large prize: The Vassals of Flaxrown, ruled by Queen Wren. She grew increasingly annoyed when she found interesting dogs only to have Carver waste their bodies and it was the undertaking of this project, in which she was deeply invested in, that convinced her that Carver was just in the way. At this time, she mostly was making allies, laying down small suggestions, manipulating dogs with skills she learned first as a Scientist and honed as a Spy.
In Flaxrown, Finley befriended the pack and learned about how strongly Queen Wren loved her son. And she thought that that could be her in. At the end of March, Queen Wren's son in an unfortunate "accident." In reality, it was a carefully planned assassination. And from there, she started her work corroding the mind of the Queen. Small, carefully placed words became suggestions. In a conversation about Ash River's medical research, she mentioned that, should the pack have enough resources, they may even be able to raise the dead. By this time, Finley realized she could use the Vassals to push Carver out of power.
May-August 309
The first Vassals were delivered to Flaxrown. The weakest ones sent first. A team of Mercenaries were in charge of delivering the dogs for Finley. Sometimes, Queen Wren would travel to speak with Finley about her struggles with her grief. Finley spoke in a concerned and thoughtful manner, though wove the right words in her speaking to keep her from moving on. In the pack, Finley kept the Vassals safe with the main plan of giving them back later and have some leverage to bring Ash River back to power after Carver had been killed. They were used in a few different experiments, but, historically, Ash River was always to keep Subjects rather healthy for long term use. The pack was happy to have some Subjects. Finley convinced Carver to not kill the dogs.
Carver's Chough was damaged by one of Finley's allies within the pack. A team defectors was founded and Finley became an easy leader of them with her abilities to manipulate and plan far ahead. She kept things clandestine, on a need-to-know basis. More Vassals were delivered to Ash River for a total of nine dogs. Finley met with Wren to update her on the research progress. Some of it is truthful; some of it is lies.

• Carver's Assassination
Carver was assassinated by Finley. She became nauseous and couldn't maintain her balance for nearly a week after using her powers to do the deed. She was protected by her allies and nursed back to health by the Gamma Physician Lukas. The news of Carver's assassination was kept under wraps. Finley was promoted to Cunning Beta shortly after the current Cunning Beta was killed in a hunt. Finley worked well as Beta, exceeding the last one. Finley was promoted to Alpha. The pack rejoiced.

• Not Who I Expected
Finley went to her meeting with Wren, only to find that a dog named Kairos was there. He claimed to be there on behalf of Wren and would be in charge of negotiations. The negotiation quickly devolved into an ultimatum: Return the Vassals or we'll destroy your pack.
