Description:
Green isn’t associated to ice in any way. Green most often represents health or flora or life. But to those who have seen the green on Aurelius find one connection; his stare is as hard and cold as ice. He was born with it. One look at that gaze will send a shiver down your spine. They glow brilliantly in the darkest of hours and burn brighter than the stars. His coat is a grey brindle that is long during the winter and short during the summer. Even though his coat is quite thick, you can see the outlining of his muscles. White stains his chest, paws, the tip of his tail, and is mixed with grey on his maw. A darker grey runs up his snout and blends with lighter shades of grey. Some of his fur covers his green eyes. Floppy ears settle themselves loosely on his head. They are neither alert nor relaxed. The first few years of his life gave him a rugged built. He walks with a certain grace, his gate is calculated, and his demeanor is nothing short from a prince. He stands at a tall 35 inches from shoulder to toe. He truly is a force to be reckoned with.

Background:
Thunder cackled throughout the land, the cloud of which they emitted from was as dark as the night. Wind blew aggressively, carrying the cooling mist of sea, mixing with the precipitation. It cut through the humid, vindictive summer. Paw prints made themselves visible on the beach's wet sand. It followed down a long path, curving into the unforgiving sea. Unforgiving sea. Sea. An inhale, an exhale. It was all Aurelius heard. Not the thunder, not the sea's shores, not the sound of stepping on muddy sand - none of it. He licked his lips, a hopeless effort to regain hydration in his drying mouth. Green orbs scanned the water, searching for a body. He kept searching but he knew it was a lost cause. He growled under his breath, where is he?

Six years ago, a mother had children. Six years ago, she had no idea where those kids might end up. She had five in total, two of which were stillborn. The other three, while unhealthy the first few weeks of their lives, survived their unstable beginnings. They were taken care of by a friendly human, one who fed them what they had. The mother was ever so grateful; food was one less thing to worry about. This continued for months, which turned to two years.

He continued to search through the unforgiving shores, tracing along the edges of water. He would occasionally step into the water but not enough for him to get carried away. Inevitably, he was going to have to go deeper. His fear. Fear. Aurelius closed his eyes, if he would have a chance to find him, then it would be in deeper waters.

All three brothers contrasted each other in various ways but were the same anyways. They knew of no father, only one mother. But they knew it was time to leave her. To venture the small world they lived on.

In the back of his head, he knew that he drowned. Aurelius just… needed to find his body. Bile rose to his throat as he pushed himself into the water. A fear that stemmed from one conflict, a very long time ago… The ocean is one vast thing; rivers, lakes, any small body of water inland didn’t fright him as much as oceans. The shore was the steel trap that clamps shut once you enter. The endless blueness can carry you throughout your death and not care a single bit. But if it was for him, he had to find him. He promised.

Lucius. The name rung a few bells but not all too familiar. Oh, but it was exceedingly familiar to his mother. She talked about him once, how he was a king to her, how he treated her with so much respect, how he loved her… then he just left. Left after she announced she was going to bear his kids. The truth, she used to say, is that he a lying, pretentious snob who just said those things because he needed a “fix”. Whatever the hell that means… It turned out, not only was Lucius a prick, he was also a murderer. How? He almost drowned him.

He did. Did find him. Aurelius had no idea how he would react to his lifeless body but when he did find him, he knew exactly. Aurelius dragged him by his nape to the safety of the beach. Even if he was smaller than Aurelius, his lifeless body made it harder to pull. Once the two bodies made it to the shore, Aurelius studied (he couldn’t help it) the body. He placed his paw on his flank, close to his elbow, and to his amazement, there was a faint heartbeat. No matter how tempting it was to get the water out of his lungs, Aurelius knew the amount of water he must’ve inhaled would cause his lungs to give out and do lasting damage to his brain. At the same time the last few heartbeats pumped throughout his body, Aurelius felt his own heart gave out. A sob tore through his throat, his eyes felt unnaturally wet, his whole body was shaking; he is dying and I can do nothing about it. Nothing about it. It.

Four years after his birth and he still wasn’t satisfied. He moved into one pack that allowed him to run experiments on the living. Psychology was his main interest, then Biology, then his own powers. He had learned so much during his stay there. The leader was… interesting. The leader’s beta had some kind of vendetta against him. He tried not to complain. Yet, the only day that truly stood out to him was when he met someone in particular. A lad named Johann. Their acquaintanceship turned into friendship that turned into best friendship that turned into love. Aurelius wanted to spend his (short) life with him. Every second was to be filled with his presence. Nothing less. He couldn’t just have less. He needed him to be there. Unfortunately…

The boy was only two years younger than him and he had changed his life forever. At that moment, he recalled the first time he said his name out loud. It was the fourth time they met outside of his pack, and the name slipped out of his mouth before he had the time to think. “Johann Ebner.”
Now, Aurelius enforced his walls. He seems colder than he has ever been before. He focuses on his work much more. He turned cynical. He just wants him back but he can’t bring him back. Six years has passed, Aurelius is just counting the days to his death.
