Ashton looked at his alpha order him to control his Chough. He nodded and then told it to get to the wrist cuff and and have it activated. The Chough flew to it and reached out with one of its arm and started to mess with the cuff. There were a couple sparks and he almost had it pull out but there was a beep and it seemed to be getting louder. Ashton ordered his Chough to get out of there. The Chough flew out and he glanced at his alpha. "Its done ma'am! You can release!" He said right as the cuff shot electricity straight out. Then it zipped back in and the mutated inmate screeched. Ashton laid his ears down and almost whined.
[attr="class","finleybody"]Steadily, Finley stared the beast down. Her eyes were bright gold as her powers were in full use. She could feel the strain of it as she held the beast still. This was how she had assassinated Carver. Only that time, she hadn't been already fatigued from using a Watcher. A little bit of blood dripped from her nose. It seemed like a lifetime had passed when Ashton returned from hiding Pico. [break][break] The cuff around the mutant's wrist flickered its lights wildly as the Chough fiddled around with it. And then, the Watcher got it and the intensity was cranked up as high as it would go. Small needles injected sedatives into the mutant. It wanted to move, but Finley still had it in her mind's grasp. She focused. "C'mon," she told herself. "A few more seconds..." She let go of its mind, not because she wanted to but because she had run out of the endurance to continue. As soon as the mutant broke free, it was enraged and pulled at the cuff, but was shocked in the process. Then, it turned its eyes towards the Alpha of Ash River Project. [break][break] Her legs were shaking under her because of the exertion of using the most powerful of her abilities. This was the least glamorous part of being an Esper. Using a powerful ability always had its side effects. The mutant growled and swatted towards her. She lurched and dodged, rolling on the ground, her legs were as unsteady and ungainly as a newborn deer. She tried to focus her eyes towards Ashton, but her vision was spinning and her balance was off. [break][break] Finley managed to move away as the mutant succumbed to the sedatives. Its body became more and more sluggish. It screeched, as if screaming would keep it awake until even its terrible voice lost volume and came out in soft breaths. It collapsed on the ground, its eyes glazed with the effect of drugs. Finley stumbled and was just within reach. Her legs didn't want to cooperate. The mutant reached a hand towards her and grasped her hind leg. She looked at it calmly. It didn't have the strength to pull her back and soon, its grip slackened. She crawled away. The mutant was asleep. [break][break] "Ashton" Finley said. There was no way that they could do anything except for retreat right now. She wished that they could have captured the beast, but right now, she knew that if they all left together, they would not be able to outpace the mutant once he woke up. She was certain that it was smart enough to track them. "Record the monster on the Chough's camera, so we have that information, but then we'll have to kill it." She opened her eyes and took a step. Her body wasn't cooperating enough to do much of anything right now. Because of that, she corrected her sentence. "I mean... you, Ashton, will have to kill it." [break][break] Meanwhile, Pico was whimpering near its tree, its leg swollen and broken. It couldn't move if it wanted and was defenseless. It huddled near the tree, afraid that Ashton had left it here to die. It only knew that it couldn't bear weight on its front right leg. It tried to remember what it was supposed to do when it's leg looked like this. It knew that at one point in its life it had that knowledge, but it was in a place in its brain that it couldn't access. It gave a throaty grumble, angry because it couldn't work its broken mind. [break][break] Tag:Ashton [break] Notes: So exciting!

She can kill with a smile, she can wound with her eyes. She can ruin your faith with her casual lies. And she only reveals what she wants you to see.
Ashton nodded at his Alpha with a grim smile. "Killing a monster, easy!" He lied as he approached the passed out mutant. His Chough had already started to record it because Ashton was telling it too while listening to his Alpha. He looked over at the steady rise and fall of its chest and smirked. This will be easy. He approached the monster with a more steady gait and leaped onto it. His claws dug into the skin causing the skin to break and something that he recognized as its blood seeped out of the claw wounds. He clawed his way up to neck area and lifted up his paw and swiped it down. The skin split beautifully and he swung his other paw down. It split even deeper. The blood was flowing out even faster and all the while the Chough recorded the grimace that befell his features. IT jerked and that caused Ashton to Dig his claws in deeper and his neck split even wider with that one movement. It looked like Ashton was going to behead the creature and he seemed to be taking pride in it. The blood stained his claws and halfway up his legs and he looked towards his alpha. "Will this be enough?" He asked as he stood atop the creature which had soon started to spasm causing him to sink his claws into the skin to stay atop of it.
[attr="class","finleybody"]Pink horns no longer glowed as Finley was mentally and physically drained from the ordeal. Everything today added up to create the sheer level of exhaustion, but she knew that she needed to continue, at least until they found a good resting place to sleep and then they'd be able to go home. [break][break] She watched as Ashton destroyed the mutant. His Chough circled and recorded what it could. Its skin seemed so thin that it reminded her of bruised and rotting fruit as her Spy crushed its neck with his large paws. Even though its neck was shredded and blood spewed out, it did not die. It gave off a spasm and twitched, and then finally stopped moving. After another minute without another breath being drawn in through that crushed throat, Finley announced, "It's dead. Good work." [break][break] She took a wobbly step, but kept herself on all four legs. Her balance was so bad from the use of her more powerful ability. It was the one she mastered. Hypnosis. And it was how she had killed Carver, freezing his body and then striking him down. [break][break] "Ash, where'd you put Pico?"
Ashton worked on climbing off the mutant. His paws bloody and his his lungs working over time. When he got down he faced his alpha. He panted and he sighed. "I will show you where I put Pico. He should still be by the tree. I had told him to stay." He said but his paws felt heavy and he was so freaking tired. He approached the little hole in the fence and forced himself out. He not caring about his side at the moment. He was going to take it slow for his Alpha. He gulped down air. He walked towards where he kept Pico. It took longer because he stopped to remember where he put them. He stopped to turn a couple of time. When Pico scent came into his nose he Inhaled and started to walk towards him a little faster. When he got their he sighed for Pico was still at the tree. Ashton sat down and smiled at the Mutant.
